Alan Amero established the Antiques Gallery of Sarasota in November , 2007,following the retirement of the 35 year landmark,Curtis Brothers  Antiques in the same location.

 

Alan,a native New  Englander ,  and second- generation antiques dealer , moved to Sarasota in 1992 , bringing a New England style of business to the antiques community of Sarasota .For 14 years he has been an energetic behind -the -scenes dealer in 18th and 19th c . American and European antiques, supplying shops and auction houses along the eastern seaboard. He is also a high profile veteran dealer of the  monthly Don Scott Antiques Show in Atlanta. It was this show that inspired him to open the gallery, as a one-stop shop  with a collaboration of specialty dealers with an antique for every lifestyle. 

Alan's background as a "wholesale to the trade" merchant has become the personality of the lovely gallery...friendly and informal , with antiques being the common language!
